Cancellation & Refund Policy
Mendify booking cancellation windows, reschedule rules, wallet credits, and refund handling for therapy sessions.
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how Mendify handles booking changes, cancellations, no-shows, and refunds. It applies to sessions booked through the Mendify Platform and should be read with our Terms of Service.
1. General principles
- Therapy time is reserved specifically for you once a booking is confirmed
- Cancellation and refund outcomes depend on how much notice you provide before the scheduled session
- Displayed policies at the time of booking apply to that booking
- Promotional offers, corporate programmes, or wallet credits may have additional conditions communicated at checkout
2. Cancelling a session
You may cancel eligible bookings from your Mendify account or by contacting support before the session begins. When you cancel:
- Within the free-cancellation window: you may receive a full refund to your original payment method or Mendify wallet, as shown during booking
- Outside the free-cancellation window: the session fee may be partially or fully retained according to the policy shown at booking
- After the session start time: the booking is generally treated as completed or missed, subject to therapist and platform rules
3. Rescheduling
Where rescheduling is available, you may move a session to another available slot without penalty if the change is made within the permitted window. Late reschedules may be treated as cancellations. Reschedule limits may apply to protect therapist availability.
4. Therapist or clinic cancellations
If a therapist or clinic cancels or needs to move your session, Mendify will help rebook at no additional cost or issue an appropriate refund or wallet credit. We will notify you by email or SMS where contact details are available.
5. No-shows and late arrivals
If you do not attend a confirmed session within the grace period stated at booking, it may be marked as a no-show and may not be refundable. If you are running late, contact support as soon as possible; therapists may shorten or decline to extend sessions based on their schedule.
6. Refund methods
Approved refunds may be issued through one or more of the following:
- Original payment method: returned to the card or UPI source used, subject to payment partner timelines
- Mendify wallet / care credit: stored as platform balance for future bookings where eligible
- Manual review: exceptional cases may require admin review for fraud prevention or partial service delivery
Refund processing times vary by payment provider and bank. Wallet credits are usually applied immediately once approved.
7. Failed or abandoned payments
If payment fails or a booking is not completed, no charge should be captured. Temporary payment authorisations, if any, are released according to your bank’s policies. Do not attend a session unless you have received booking confirmation.
8. Corporate and institutional bookings
Workplace programmes may follow employer-sponsored billing rules. Employees should confirm whether sessions are prepaid, subsidised, or self-pay before cancelling. Aggregated reporting for HR teams does not include individual session notes.
9. Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact info@mendify.in before initiating a payment dispute so we can review booking logs and session status. Unfounded chargebacks may result in account restrictions.
